I gained valuable theoretical and practical knowledge during my studies at UMN. Despite the often mentioned differences between the world of academia and the professional world, the fundamental knowledge I acquired in my college years remains the foundation that I apply in my work. UMN provided that foundational knowledge very effectively. Additionally, UMN trained me to think critically in analyzing problems and fulfilling customer desires.
Studying at UMN gave me a comfortable and conducive learning environment that made it easy to stay focused and truly absorb what I was being taught. The lecturers were incredibly supportive, always willing to guide us beyond just the curriculum. What stood out most was how closely the course material stayed aligned with current trends in Informatics — I graduated feeling genuinely prepared for where the industry was headed, not where it used to be.
Studying at UMN gave me the flexibility to shape my final project around my own abilities and creativity — the assessment process genuinely rewarded that. Beyond the classroom, there were countless valuable seminars, workshops, and competitions that pushed me to sharpen my skills further. And when it came to learning itself, UMN made it easy — with a wealth of resources like slides, videos, and curated materials that were always accessible whenever I needed to revisit something.
My time at UMN was genuinely enjoyable, and what stood out most wasn't just the technical skills I picked up, but the way of thinking behind them. Every subject helped build a strong logical foundation that I still rely on today — across my internship and my work in the broader IT field. UMN taught me how to think through problems systematically, and that mindset continues to shape how I approach every challenge I take on.
